About The Nonprofit Nook
The NonProfit Nook was created to support nonprofit leaders who care deeply about their mission but often don’t have easy access to practical education, leadership development, or consistent community support.
Call To ActionÂ
After years of working alongside nonprofits in Collin County, it became clear that while passion and commitment were everywhere, accessible and current leadership education was not. Podcasts felt sporadic or outdated, educational events and networking opportunities for nonprofits were limited, and many formal certificate programs and workshops were centered in larger cities—making them harder to access for leaders already balancing full workloads.
At the same time, I kept seeing nonprofit leaders quietly carrying more than they should.
Many stepped into leadership because they cared deeply about a cause or their community—not because they planned to run an organization. Over time, the business side of leadership—systems, structure, operations, and decision-making—often took a back seat, even though it played a critical role in sustainability and impact.
Through my work with Boss Level Engaged, I saw how similar nonprofit leaders are to small business owners, especially those in creative and mission-driven fields. They lead with heart, passion, and commitment, but often haven’t been given the tools or education to support the organizational side of their work. I believe nonprofit leaders are strong business leaders—they just aren’t always told that or supported as such.
The NonProfit Nook was created to help change that.
This space exists to make leadership education more accessible, bring resources closer to home, and support nonprofit leaders in building confidence, structure, and clarity. It’s not just about fundraising—it’s about strengthening organizations from the inside out by putting systems and foundations in place that allow leaders to build sustainably.
The NonProfit Nook is part of Boss Level Engaged, where I offer coaching and consulting for nonprofit leaders and small business owners looking for more focused, personalized support. Through The NonProfit Nook, I’m able to support nonprofit leaders at scale through education, conversation, and community—meeting them where they are and helping them lead with intention.
At its core, The NonProfit Nook exists to remind nonprofit leaders that they are capable, knowledgeable leaders—and to support them with the tools, education, and confidence to lead well.
